Prayer Shawl Ministry

rocking_chairSince its beginning in 2005, CMPC's Prayer Shawl Ministry has been busy knitting and crocheting shawls for those in need of comfort and solace. Nearly 1000 shawls have been completed, blessed and sent on to bring comfort to those in physical or spiritual need or to celebrate a happy occasion such as a marriage or birth.

The group meets every Thursday morning in the Fellowship Hall. For more information about the Prayer Shawl Ministry, read our web section, or contact Barbara Schmehl at (410) 995-1572.

Mission Committee Food Drive

route-oneThe Grassroots Day Center on Route 1 is asking for help to keep their food pantry filled this summer. The CMPC Mission Committee has committed to providing two items in particular for this drive:

  1. Tunafish
  2. Chunky soups.
We hope, with your help, to be able to provide 100 cans of each per week for 10 weeks. There will be a box on a table downstairs near the main entrance of the church for your donations.
