September through May: During the school
year, we offer Christian Education classes for all ages, preschool
through adults, on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15.
- Classes for Children and Youth: The curriculum for the preschool
through high school is published by Gospel Light. Our classes are
based on age/grade level. With over 140 children and youth
registered, our Sunday School program is thriving!
- Youth Confirmation Class: Our 8th grade
Sunday School class serves as our youth confirmation class.
The students study the Old Testament and New Testament for most
of the year, and then finish up with a study on Presbyterianism
and church membership. Following a retreat and examination by the
Session, students are confirmed before the congregation and brought
into full membership at CMPC.
- Classes for Adults: Our adult class
offerings operate on a trimester schedule, with different options
available each term. Class topics range from classic Bible study to
discussions of books written by best-selling Christian authors.
We have approximately 100 adults participating in our Sunday School
program.
June and July: During the summer months,
we offer a Sunday School program that recognizes that summer
schedules often prevent individuals and families from being
present every week. Therefore, we try to identify enjoyable
curriculum that allows for "drop-in" attendance. In 2002, we
presented Splish-Splash Bible Bash, a fun-filled program of
"water stories from the Bible" designed for all ages complete
with puppets, storytelling, music, games, and crafts!
