You are invited to join our next Alpha course at CMPC.
There are over 7,000 Alpha courses running in the United States and 20,000 worldwide.
We invite you to attend either our Celebration Dinner or the first night of the course, as a way of seeing for yourself why this course has become so popular.
Come just one time to check it out — this may just be the thing for you.
What is ALPHA? (it’s simple)
- A nyone interested in finding out about the Christian faith;
- L earning and laughter (It is possible to learn about faith and have fun!);
- P lenty of good food;
- H elping one another;
- A sk anything (There is no such thing as a dumb or inappropriate question.).

Who is ALPHA for?
Alpha is for everyone, but it is especially good for:
People wanting to investigate Christianity;
Newcomers to the church;
New Christians (or new members);
Those seeking to deepen their understanding of the basics;
People wrestling with some of the big questions in life;
Those wanting some good company in their spiritual journey.
Alpha is a place where everyone is welcome and encouraged to ask or say anything they want.
No question is too simple or too difficult.
Which means, it is also a great place to invite a friend or family member who is searching for answers to some of life’s questions.
Alpha is a ten-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith in a friendly, fun and relaxed environment.
Each week we gather for a delicious meal (with dessert!), a talk (presented on video) and then a time of discussion and questions within a small group.
All this and we promise to be done in 2 hours!
When does ALPHA start?
Wednesday, April 2, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall, will be our next Alpha Celebration Dinner, when we celebrate those who attended our last course and kick off the start of our next one.
It is a night when you can come and sample what Alpha will be like without any further commitment.
In fact, Alpha will never ask for any further commitment, other than registering for either the Celebration Dinner or for the very first night of the course.
The actual ten-week course will begin on Wednesday, April 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and then run every Wednesday for ten weeks.
If you can’t make the Celebration Dinner but would still like to attend the first night of the course, you may.
Simply register for either the Celebration dinner and/or the 1st night of the course by contacting Pastor Craig Barton at 410-997-8011 or E-mail at dcraigbarton@verizon.net.
Childcare is available upon request. Please let us know of your need when registering.
